SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - After getting rave reviews for her performance of Radiohead's "Creep," American Idol's Jena Irene did a live satellite interview from Los Angeles with FOX 2 News in Southfield, which is miles away from her hometown of Farmington Hills, Mich.

She says she was proud of her performance, saying she thinks she "pulled it off."

Also talked about in the interview was her duet with fellow contestant Caleb Johnson from Asheville, North Carolina. The two sang "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones.

Before the live performance, Jena says in a pre-recorded package Caleb is "one of her best friends on the show" and announces the two are going to her prom together.

"Me and Caleb have the same personality so it's cool to be able to perform with him on stage every week," she said later on during the interview with FOX 2.

FOX 2 anchor Huel Perkins follows up with, "You two perform so well together, should we read something more into this? Something else going on you want to let us know about?"

After a few seconds, Jena touches her IFB earpiece and says, "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't even hear what you said, I'm sorry."

Perkins repeats the question, but a confused-looking Jena says she still cannot hear and apologizes. Though, she then says, "I heard 'Caleb,'" and smiles.

Perkins then tries another time, saying, "The chemistry was so great on stage - what about off [stage]?"

Apparently thinking the interview was over, Jena replies with, "Thank you so much."

Then, the interview was over.
