Police Seek Alleged Brandywine Park Flasher

WILMINGTON, Del. -

The search is on for a man accused of exposing himself to a woman jogging on a trail in Brandywine Park in Wilmington, Delaware.

Fox 29's Shawnette Wilson has the report.

As night fell over Brandywine Park in Wilmington Delaware people ending their exercise jogging and walking the trails grew concerned about a man police are looking for. Wilmington Police say he exposed himself to a 55-year-old woman jogging along North Park Drive.

"Oh my that's really sad. Why would somebody want to do that," said Maressa Morgan. She's concerned because she comes here often.

"That does scare me because I do walk around the park a lot so and with my little dog," said Maressa.

Police say the woman who ran across the man was able to take this picture of the suspect as he turned to run away. They believe he's the same guy who exposed himself to women here last summer. Jessica Reed says her daughter was one of them.

"My daughter was exposed last year by some guy on this same park yeah," said Jessica. She's evens even more concerned because police say this latest incident happened Saturday during the day around 3:30 in the afternoon when the park is packed.

"It's amazing because you can see the park is really crowded, lots of people here taking their dogs for a walk and lots of families here at the zoo. It's horrible," said Jessica.

Daytime danger isn't something Melanie Malkewicz thought about before.

"That's really scary to me because I always carry pepper spray in the evening but during the day time I don't really worry that much about it," she said.

Others say they'll be more cautious knowing this guy is out there.

"I won't walk by myself anymore. I would definitely walk with somebody and not walk when it is as dark as it right now and try to get off the trail earlier than this," said Maressa.
