20-year-old woman struck, killed in Columbia Heights

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a 20-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Columbia Heights, Minn. early Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 44th Avenue and University Avenue NE. Columbia Heights police were called to the area at 1:55 a.m. and the 20-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old Fridley, Minn. woman, was uninjured.

The victim's identity will be released pending family notification.
