MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

The Twin Cities will see cool 30s early Wednesday morning, but that will all change this afternoon when temperatures break into the 70s.

This is our first 70-degree weather in nearly 6 months – the last time was Oct. 11, 2013.

TIMELINE

Noon: Warming up, 63 degrees

3 p.m. Bright and breezy, 71 degrees

6 p.m. Before the sun sets at 7:51 p.m., 75 degrees

9 p.m. Clouds build, 68 degrees

Overnight: A cool front swings by tonight, sparking a few quickie showers after midnight, but they'll clear by tomorrow. A cooler breeze keeps us around 60 for Thursday with mostly sunny sky.

RED FLAG WARNING

Gusty breezes will increase the wildfire danger across southwest and southern Minnesota this afternoon, hence a Red Flag Warning is in effect for that area from noon to 6 p.m.
