Police Search For Suspects In Serial Thefts

LOWER GWYNEDD, Pa. -

Do you recognize this woman caught on surveillance? Police say this is footage of a female suspect and a male accomplice shopping the electronic section of a Target store in Plymouth Meeting armed with stolen credit cards.

According to police, the suspect is on the prowl for purses and wallets. She's been accused of combing the campuses at two colleges and a senior facility. So far, police say she's hit 3, including Gwynedd Mercy University.

"I was scared someone would just walk onto campus, we knew nothing about it, there was no campus alert," Gwynedd Mercy University student Melynne Storb said.

Storb claims the victim is her teacher, and police say a university faculty member's wallet was stolen from her desk inside of Keiss Hall.

"She brought in pics to the class asking us if we knew about it," Storb said.

In a second case, police say the same suspect was caught roaming the halls of Artman Nursing Home in Ambler. According to police, the woman claimed to be in the building to fill out a job application. However, she snuck away and snuck into the Chaplain's office. Detectives say she stole the Chaplain's purse and quickly racked up a credit card bill a few thousand dollars at local stores like Macy's and Target.

Police are asking for your help in identifying both of these people, so they shut down these serial thieves immediately.

"We're hoping somebody recognizes her, the gentleman in the jacket, something to give a tip to start moving in the right direction," Gwynedd Township Police Department Detective Glenn Fowler said.
