There's no snow in the forecast and the Twins (3-3) are taking home a 2-win streak from Cleveland to Target Field for the 2014 Home Opener.  PHOTOS: Twins Home Opener 2014

The Twins left Cleveland with a 10-7 win on Sunday over the Indians, ultimately winning the series after walking away with just one victory over the White Sox in their first week of the 2014 season.



Fans began lining up for breakfast at 6 a.m.


At 1 p.m., Twins legends opened the gates.

Bert Blyleven represented fellow Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew at Gate 3, Tony Oliva at Gate 6, Kent Hrbek at Gate 14, Tom Kelly represented Rod Carew at Gate 29 and a Twins representative stood for Kirby Puckett at Gate 34.

MEMORIES: Opening Day memories


A ceremonial first pitch was thrown by Minneapolis actor Barkhad Abdi, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the movie "Captain Philips." Following the first pitch, fans can meet Abdi in the new Twins Digital Clubhouse in the U.S. Bank Home Run Porch.

Target Field will have walk-through metal detectors at all 5 gate entrances come early May.

The ballpark began using the detectors for the Home Opener but the other detectors will be phased-in and fully activated by early May.
