Timberwolves' forward Dante Cunningham arrested again

Posted: Updated:

Just days after he was released from jail following a domestic abuse arrest, the Hennepin County Jail roster shows Dante Cunningham is back behind bars after being booked for terroristic threats.

Medina police took Cunningham back into custody on Sunday, and he will remain there without bail.

Police offered no information about this latest arrest, but said more details will be released on Monday.

Just days earlier, the 26-year-old forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves was booked into the jail after officers were called to his home and met a woman who had visible signs of abuse but did not need medical treatment.

Cunningham posted the $40,000 bail after he was charged with felony domestic assault by strangulation following the incident on Thursday morning. Then, he flew down to meet the team in Orlando for the Saturday game.

Although the team sent out a statement saying they were aware of and did not condone the situation, Cunningham was back in the lineup for the Wolves' 100-92 loss.

Cunningham will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He earned $2.1 million this season after the Timberwolves exercised the team option on his contract.
