ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

It's just about prom season and as many of us know, it's expensive. College Possible, a non-profit based in St. Paul is helping make prom possible for hundreds of girls. The program has helped more than 1600 low income students navigate the college landscape. For the third year, volunteers in the program are making it possible for anyone in the program to go to prom and a record 230 girls rsvp'd for this year's event.

"I think it would be more stressful on our parents because we are both trying to go to prom this year," said Nina Robinson who attended the event with her younger sister Maria.

College Possible collects dresses, shoes and accessories all year long and the aim is to help with so much more than college.

"We want to boost their confidence," said Nankya Senungi of College Possible. "Send them off in a great way and let them know we support them in all aspects of their life."
