PARK FOREST, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man wanted in connection with the groping of two women in two south suburban Park Forest incidents may have attacked a teenage girl on Monday.

About 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Park Forest police received a call about a man who ran up to a 15-year-old girl and fondled her before running off. The incident occurred in the area of Sangamon Street and Shabbona Drive in Park Forest, police said in a statement.

The man was described as a 5-foot-8 black man between 25 and 30 years old with a slim to medium build and facial hair. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap and grey sweatpants with a red stripe down the side, police said.

The man may be also responsible for an attack on March 18, in which a high school-aged girl was walking through Winnebago Park when a man robbed her at knifepoint, then grabbed her over her bra, police said.

In another incident on March 20, a high school-aged girl was confronted by a man near the intersection of Westgate Street and Westwood Drive — less than two blocks from Winnebago Park. The man "felt her body over her clothing," police said at the time.

Police said it was not clear whether the man responsible for Monday's incident was the suspect in the earlier incidents, but did say victim descriptions matched.

Anyone with information on the attacks is asked to call Park Forest police at (708) 748-1309.
