He stripped down naked to protest security screenings at Portland's International Airport. Now a man has been found guilty in the TSA's civil case against him.

It was the picture that went viral -- even global!

Portlander John Brennan was seen standing at the security check point, stark naked.

He was traveling for work and says a pat down by TSA agents found bomb residue on his clothing.  John felt he was being targeted unfairly, so he stripped.

"Knowing my rights in Oregon, being naked is a form of protest, but more importantly, to solve this problem, saying let's separate me from my clothes and do all the searching you want," he said.

John was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure, both of which he wax exonerated for.  But the TSA filed a civil suit against him, claiming his actions interfered with the security screening process.  Even two years later, John maintains he did nothing wrong.

"I knew I had the Constitution standing behind me.  I knew I had a right to protest," he said.

But that may not be true.

With the passing of the Aviation and Transportation Security Act of 2001, Constitutional rights have been minimized at TSA checkpoints and likely not a defense in cases like this.

Now the TSA wants John to pay a $500 fine.

"I will not pay a fine to make this go away," he said.

John plans to appeal the ruling and even take it to the highest court.  He thinks airport screenings have gone too far.

"I didn't take off my clothes to pay a fine.  I took them off to make a point."
