Watch 9 Minn. National Guard soldiers return from Kuwait

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

Nine soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard's Detachment 39, Operational Support Airlift returned Friday after a nine-month deployment to Kuwait.

The soldiers supported United States and coalition forces throughout Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

"Once again, this unit enhanced our reputation of dependability with our nation's military leadership. We earned great admiration for our hard work and performance while deployed from the many units we supported within United States Central Command and coalition partners said," said Detachment 39 Commander, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Brad Husnik.

While deployed to Kuwait, the unit conducted aerial transportation and support for Unites States Central Command flying mission to Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.
