We seem to have broken into about every top 10 list there is when it comes to horribly long and cold winters. Let's face it, the #WorstWinterEver was initiated in Minnesota. Well guess what... we made ANOTHER list.

The metro is now 7th on the all-time list for consecutive days with at least 2 inches of snow on the ground. For places like St. Cloud and Eau Claire, the streak continues...but with the rain today, the streak will likely end for the metro. Check out the lists below:

MSP airport has officially amassed 111 straight days with at least 2 inches of snow. If we added another week, we would be in 4th place all time.

Inside that streak though, we had 58 straight days with at least 8", 45 days with at least 12", and 10 straight days with at least 20".

Keep in mind though that much of the north and west metro had even higher numbers with still more than 8" of snow on the ground in some locations from Forest Lake to Maple Grove.

Meanwhile, St. Cloud and Eau Claire continue their streaks of 2"+ and they have breached the top 10 lists for both 8" and 10" amounts with Eau Claire now in 3rd place and St. Cloud in 2nd.  Considering it's almost April, I doubt either city will make it any higher.
