The Pearson Candy Company is celebrating its first batches of Bit-O-Honey candy as it came off the production line now that Pearson is producing them.
"It's got a great name, a great reputation probably behind the Nut Roll and the Nut Goodie, it's my favorite candy bar," said Steve Pearson. "I didn't like to say that when it wasn't a Pearson, but now I can say it and admit to it."
Pearson Candy purchased Bit-O-Honey from Nestle eight months ago and the transfer of equipment and a new process has been fast moving. The Bit O' Honey brand has been around for 90 years and the move to Minnesota came with the help of a forgivable loan from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and its Minnesota Investment Fund.
