PENSACOLA, Fla. -

Authorities have arrested a man who climbed over a fence and boarded an unoccupied plane in Pensacola.

20-year-old Mahiri Hanif was charged with burglary and battery after that incident at the Pensacola International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Hanif told authorities that he snuck on the plane because he wanted to visit his mother in Atlanta and he couldn't afford a ticket.

Hanif was taken to the Escambia County Jail, where he is being held on a $7500 bond.
