ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Minnesota House Transportation Finance Committee is considering adding $10 million to its budget to repair potholes on state roads.

In total, $15 million would go toward repairing those omnipresent potholes around the state, with the state highway fund supplying $10 million for highway work and $5 million from the general fund would go toward county and city roads.

DFL Rep. Barb Yarusso perhaps captured the sentiment of many Minnesota drivers: That money would help roads "that felt like an amusement park ride."

"Every Minnesotan has a story about the state or our roads in the past several weeks, and this is a way to respond to it," DFL Rep. Frank Hornstein said at the hearing.
