Police say the father and uncle forced their way into an apartment on the 13,000 block of John R in Highland Park around 3am and pistol whipped the baby's mother, then took off in a Saturn. The two were dressed in black clothing and armed with a handgun. A family friend tells Fox 2 Neveah's parents had been arguing throughout the day.

Police say tips and good police work led them to the child less than six hours later at an apartment in Southfield. The mother and her baby have been reunited. The father is expected to face charges. Stay with Fox 2 and myfoxdetroit.com for updates.
