WINTER WEATHER UPDATE / SNOW TOTALS:  4:00 PM TUESDAY

Here in the metro we have been in the clear of the heavy snow so far this Tuesday. In fact we have even seen some filtered sun through the morning. However, it has been snowing, and snowing heavily in areas off to the North and West. Here is the radar shot at 4 PM showing the heavy snow off to the Northwest.

You will also notice an area of blue/white returns in Southwestern MN. This is the area to watch as rain and snow develops and moves across the metro. The timing is that the rain will change over to snow between 6 and 9 this evening with about 2" to 4" expected in the metro by Wednesday morning. Obviously, heavier amounts to the north and northwest, where some areas could approach 10 inches. Below is on model's simulated radar at 9 PM Tuesday with the heavy snow band circled in red.

FUTURE RADAR MODEL PREDICTION 9 PM TUESDAY.

That snow is really adding up just off the Northwest. Here are the latest snow totals as of 1 PM Tuesday afternoon. Stay tuned.

There's a big misconception about food vendors at the Minnesota State Fair. Many people think you can set up a booth, work 12 days and make a pile of cash. But it's not that easy. Aside from a lot of hard work, it also takes some luck.
