Cubs line up new free remote parking lot for fans

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (Associated Press) -

The Chicago Cubs have a new remote parking lot lined up to ease traffic in the neighborhood near Wrigley Field for night and weekend games.

The team announced Monday that a free parking lot will be operated at 3900 N. Rockwell St. That's just east of the Chicago River and south of Irving Park Road.

The lot can hold 1,000 vehicles. Cubs personnel will provide security. Free shuttle service will be available to and from Wrigley Field, starting 2½ hours before the start of the game. The shuttle bus will pick up fans at a designated location on Addison Street after night and weekend games.

The new free remote parking lot replaces the team's previous remote parking operation at DeVry University.
