New hope follows Braves' injury situation

Posted: Updated:

The Braves signed a veteran pitcher by the name of Ervin Santana to help their injury situation.

Now, it appears the situation in camp is improving for the Braves.

It was a dire situation, but Braves General Manager, Frank Wren wasted no time in plugging the holes left by Kris Medlen and perhaps even Brandon Beachy at this point. Their probable losses for the season made for a bleak outlook this season.. Until this early this morning! 680 The Fan reporter Bevin Mcalpin captured these exclusive pictures of today's press conference.

Free Agent, Ervin Santana, 33,  was signed and introduced by the Braves Wednesday morning. Soothing a stressful 72-hours that saw Kris Medlen walk off the mound grabbing his elbow on Sunday. Monday, Brandon Beachy cut his outing short because of problems with his elbow.

Santana is a workhorse.. Who helped the Royals to their best record in 24-years. An Allstar in 2008 and tossed a no-hitter in 2011.

Today he became an Atlanta Brave.
