Police officers in Delaware County are hoping to get new information on a hit and run driver. Police say he ran down and killed a 58-year-old man.
FOX 29's Chris O'Connell spoke to the victim's family in Collingdale. Chris McCaughen is begging whoever killed his brother to come forward.
"Just say something. Make one phone call you don't even have to tell your name," McCaughen said. "He was getting ready to be a grandfather anyway his daughter did 3 tours in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan."
58-year-old Tim Mccaughan was struck and killed walking across the Clifton Avenue Friday night.
Police say a light colored early 2000 model Chevy Suburban seen in surveillance video is the striking vehicle.
A witness provided a sketch of the suspect described to be a light skinned African American or Hispanic male over 6 feet tall, with a beard, stocky build and short curly hair.
Collingdale Police spent the entire day canvassing the neighborhood and handing out hundreds flyers in hopes of getting clues. They've gotten more than 50 leads but so far the driver is still out there.
"It wasn't a dog that he hit it was a man. He was a human being," said Collingdale Police Chief Robert Adams. "The citizens of this town, I've been here for 35 years. Won't stand for this. This is cold blooded murder,"
As the Clifton Avenue Memorial grows so does the frustration for Chris McCaughen who has now watched all three of his brothers and sister in-in law pass away.
"I'm just numb. I just hope they catch this guy he has no respect for human life," said McCaughen.
