GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

Two people were arrested following an overnight standoff that last nearly 5 hours in Gwinnett County neighborhood early Saturday morning.

The Gwinnett County Police Department tell FOX 5 News that the incident started a little after 11 p.m. Friday when they received a call about shots being fired in the 3400 block of Rolling Creek Drive. Officers found Jason Rhodes, half-clothed coming out from a home. He told police that the man inside fired shots at him.

The SWAT team was called in after the man inside refused to come outside. They were able get his girlfriend out of the home safely. The team was able to talk the man out of the home a few hours later.

Police say they arrested Jeffrey Wahaus, 50, of Buford, and charged him with False Imprisonment, Aggravated Assault and Battery. Rhodes was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Douglas County.
