Police searching for missing 8-year-old Alpharetta boy

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -

UPDATE: Police say they have located the boy safely.

Police are searching for a missing 8-year-old Alpharetta boy who was last seen on a playground early Saturday afternoon.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety says Vance Visger was last seen near Lexington Farm Drive around 12:30 p.m. He was reported missing to police just before 5 p.m.

Visger is described as having blond hair and blue eyes. He is 4 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs around 60 pounds.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black long sleeve shirt with gray sleeves and camouflage shoes.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
