Enjoy An Exotic "Life On The Farm" At Cartersville Attraction

Posted: Updated:
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -

It's not unusual to find cows, donkeys, and chickens on North Georgia farms. But Pettit Creek Farms provides a home...where the camels and zebras roam!

The 80-acre Cartersville farm has been in the Allen family since 1945. It's still a working farm, but now draws big crowds to check out exotic animals like camels, zebras, emu, and even something called a Padagonian cavy! The Farms offer open fields for events, a Farmland Petting Zoo, and Hay Ride Farm Tour...and opens up to groups including class reunions, church organizations, and corporate outings.

With a new baby camel on-site, Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken made the trek to Cartersville to check out "life on the farm."

Just more than a month into the Atlanta Hurricane Season, we've already seen one storm make landfall in the United States. And right now, work is happening in North Georgia to keep people safe from the next storm.
