HUNTLEY, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

An autopsy was inconclusive on the body of an elderly woman who, dressed only in a nightgown, was found dead Saturday on a snowbank near a northwest suburban senior community.

The woman, in her 80s, was found about 7:15 a.m. Saturday in the 11500 block of Hemmer Road in unincorporated Huntley, about three blocks from the Sun City active-adult community where she lived, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's office.

The woman, who was wearing only a nightgown and boots, was found by a passer-by, who called 911. She was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where she was pronounced dead at 9:02 a.m.

The Kane County Coroner's office has identified the woman as Bodil E. Becker, 83, of the 11000 block of Evergreen Lane in Huntley.

An autopsy was performed Monday, but results were inconclusive and pending further studies, the coroner's office said.

The department sent out reverse-911 calls in the area trying to find the woman's identity, and were later contacted by family members, who said the woman had been showing signs of dementia, the statement said.
