Metro's new Silver Line project was delayed for third time on Monday after the contractor failed to meet all the requirements for completion. It's the latest in a string of problems that have plagued the project, which is already behind schedule and over budget.
The contractor and the officials with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which is overseeing construction, met on Tuesday. They're trying to develop a plan to address the issues to complete the project. There's no timetable for how long that will take, but the project already has a history of problems.
