Netflix has reached a deal with Comcast to make sure its TV shows and are streamed smoothly over Comcast internet connections.
The deal removes third parties that led to a 27 percent decline in streaming speeds since October. Netflix will now pay Comcast for a direct connection to its broadband "pipe."
Netflix content makes up 1/3 of all nighttime internet traffic.
The Netflix-Comcast deal comes a week after Comcast announced plans to buy Time Warner Cable.
