Red Bull Crashed Ice will hit the frozen banks of the Mississippi River in St. Paul for the third year in a row.
St. Paul boasts the only race in the U.S. but the event will also make it to Helsinki, Finland, Moscow, Russia and Quebec City, Canada.
On Saturday, ice cross downhill skaters will compete in 4-man heats in a race to the bottom of a 400-meter track full of obstacles at alarming speeds.
Minnesota native Cameron Naasz has a chance to crush the competition this year, but only time and the elements will tell.
The event will be broadcast nationally for the first time on Fox Sports 1 on Monday, Feb. 24 at 8:30 p.m. CT.
Gates will be open to the general public at 5 p.m. and the race starts at 6:45 p.m. with an after party at the Eagle Street Warming Tend located at the corner of Smith and Kellogg.
