LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. -

A man who escaped from the Lumpkin County jail Tuesday was re-captured Wednesday night.

Larry Farmer escaped by breaking through a cell wall, breaking a window and climbing over two fences, according to deputies.

Farmer had been jailed on drug and weapons charges.

A second inmate, William Harris, was injured in the escape and turned himself back in to jail officers.

Farmer remained on the run for a day, but was arrested just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night about a half-mile from the jail.

Deputies say Farmer now faces two additional felony charges in connection with the escape.
