CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Beauty has a new face and there's no retouching or photo-shop. It's not the filtered, airbrushed image of perfection.

Aerie by American Eagle is the latest brand to go with a so-called real woman campaign. The photos feature Chicagoan Amber Tolliver.

"To see these massive pictures of myself up and to say wow, I really like these photos and I think I'm beautiful, it's great," said Tolliver in an interview via Skype with FOX 32's Tisha Lewis.

Tolliver was at the airport headed to New York to show off her unique look, one that gives other women a realistic view of beauty.

"To be a size 10 and to have a Times Square billboard, it's priceless, it's unbelievable and I feel really grateful and blessed to have this opportunity.. I want young girls in Chicago and all over the world to understand that who they are is good enough," said Tolliver.

That message is fueling a new image of women on runways, ads and even mannequins.

Back fat and thicker waists are on mannequins at a New York bridal boutique, and a viral YouTube video showing mannequins depicting disabled people stopped passerbys.

"Authenticity and natural really sells," said Chris-Tia Donaldson, owner of Thank God It's Natural.

Donaldson says the days of one size fits all are numbered. For consumers, seeing real people instead of glammed up models is a better sell.

"Every day women are really the ultimate crux of how to get the message out to their customers," said Donaldson.
