RIVERSIDE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A west suburban high school student facing several criminal charges for allegedly threatening two teachers is being held on a $30,000 bond.

Fard Chevez Johnson, 18, of the 2200 block of South 17th Avenue in North Riverside, was charged with two counts of aggravated disorderly conduct and one count of aggravated assault, according to Riverside police.

On Friday afternoon, Johnson was yelling loudly and swearing in the hallway of the social studies wing at Riverside Brookfield High School at 160 Ridgewood Rd. in Riverside, a statement from police said.

When a teacher told him to stop using obscene language, Johnson got within inches of the teacher's face, forcing him up against the lockers in the hallway, police said, then began yelling profanities and waving his arms wildly.

When a second teacher arrived and asked the student his name, Johnson replied by grabbing his genital area and saying, "That's my name," police said.

Police said school security identified Johnson within 30 minutes, but he had already left, before the end of the school day.

As teachers were leaving at the end of the day, they saw Johnson getting into a vehicle and making sounds to get their attention, police said. He used his hand in a motion as if he was cutting his throat toward the teacher he had earlier forced against the lockers.

On Friday, Johnson was brought to police by his parents and charged with the three felonies. At the time, he was out on bond for a criminal defacement of school property conviction that followed an October 2013 arrest.

He was ordered held on $30,000 bond for the new charges, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office. He posted $3,000 bail and was released on electronic monitoring.
