After our latest and largest snowfall this season, 9.9" at the airport and 10" in downtown Minneapolis, we are really adding to our seasonal total. Check out the graph below. We are not only 47% above average for snowfall through this weekend (2/22/14), but we have already passed our seasonal total by 4 inches.

When you break it down by the month we have beaten our monthly averages the last three months.

Meteorological winter ends February 28th. However, we know that there is much more winter weather ahead here in the Upper Midwest. Stay tuned everyone as this blog will be updated many more times before spring. Frazier

We have just shoveled our way out of our last snow, which was 4.6" officially at MSP, and now we have more snow in the forecast for later in the week. It has not only been one cold winter, but a little on the flaky side as well. So far this winter season we are running 23% above average when it comes to the white stuff, and its not over yet. Here are a few graphics of the 2013/2014 winter season so far.

Below is the snow the metro has seen so far this winter season.

Now lets break it down month by month.

As you can see from our average monthly totals, we started off slow but made up for loss ground once we hit December. Below is a graphic of what is average per month here in the metro.

There is still plenty of winter to go so I guess its not out of the question to make it to the top 5. Extremely unlikely, but not impossible.
