UIC faculty union threatens 2-day strike

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

University of Illinois at Chicago students could get a couple of unexpected days off next week.

Teachers are getting set to go on strike. They're in a contract battle with the school's administrators and are threatening to walk off the job if an agreement can't be reached.

Last week the union voted to authorize a two day strike for next Tuesday and Wednesday.

UIC is the first major university in Illinois to have a union.
