Police in Sartell, Minn. reported a woman was abducted after she got back into her car at McDonald's on Wednesday night.
Just before 2 a.m., a 56-year-old woman called police from Coborn's Superstore in Sauk Rapids reporting she had been pushed from her vehicle after being abducted in Sartell and later assaulted.
Upon returning to her car from McDonald's at 9:40 p.m. the night before, a man wearing a ski mask hidden in the back and told her to keep driving. She reported she was also assaulted and choked unconscious at some point during the abduction.
The suspect and the woman met with another man in a ski mask and both demanded money. The men drove her around the St. Cloud metro area and eventually pushed her from the vehicle. She then went to Coborn's to call for help.
Sauk Rapids police found the vehicle unoccupied and saw the inside had been set on fire.
The woman was brought to the St. Cloud Hospital and later released. The incident is under investigation but police do not know if she was a specific target or if it was a random attack.
