A woman was hit by a commercial box truck and dragged a short distance while jogging Wednesday night near Lake Calhoun.
Minneapolis police confirmed the crash happened at 6:18 p.m. at the corner of West Lake Street and Market Boulevard, across from a Minneapolis fire station.
Investigators said the driver of the truck was facing south on Market Boulevard when the light turned green. The driver then turned right and hit the jogger in the crosswalk, dragging her for a short distance.
The woman was taken to the hospital with substantial injuries, and Minneapolis police told Fox 9 News she appeared to be in critical condition. Her identity has not yet been confirmed.
Investigators said it is too early to determine fault, but the driver is cooperating.
