MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

According to the alert sent to students and staff, a woman was walking home at about 9 p.m. on Monday when two men called to her from the opposite side of the street to ask for directions. When she stopped to respond, the two crossed the road to meet her and one pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at her, police said.

While being held at gunpoint, the second man took the victim's backpack and wallet. He also demanded the victim empty her pockets before the two ran south on 17th Avenue Southeast.

The victim was not injured.
