Three suspects have been arrested in connection to an alleged bicycle theft ring that traded the stolen goods for drugs.

Tempe police began "Operation: Bike Peddler" in the middle of January 2014.

Since then, officers have arrested 46-year-old Loren Henderson, 50-year-old Brian Meier and 51-year-old Jeffrey Barthold for allegedly stealing bikes and identity items and then trading them for drugs.

Through the course of seven search warrants, officers found several electronic items, 30 bicycles and other property believed to be stolen. They also reportedly found drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs, heroin and meth.

Police say many of the bicycles were confirmed to be stolen and have been returned to their owners.

One of the recovered bicycles was valued at $11,000 via E-bay.

Henderson faces charges of possession/use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and possession/use of a weapon in a drug offense.

Meier faces charges of shoplifting, removing theft detecting device and assault.
