Delta flight diverted to Minneapolis to extract unruly passenger

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

An unruly passenger forced a Delta fight to make a stop at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Friday.

Passengers captured the woman in a series of YouTube videos yelling profanities at fellow travelers as well as her ensuing removal from the plane. She was intoxicated and crew members had to subdue her, airport spokesman Pat Hogan confirmed.

Flight 1189 was headed from Baltimore to Salt Lake City. Once the woman was extracted from the plane it went on to Salt Lake City without a hitch. No one was hurt.

The woman was brought to the Hennepin County Medical Center and the FBI and TSA are investigating the incident, charges pending.
