(WJBK) -

A Detroit mother is furious after her daughter was slammed to the ground by a school security guard at Marquette Middle School in March of 2013.

It began when 12-year-old Stephon Clark says she was being harassed by some classmates. She tried to get away but a security guard intervened.

Another student captured the incident on video. The video shows Stephon being grabbed by the guard and getting forced into the hallway, where a teacher takes the girl into a corner then drags her further down the hallway in a headlock. The security guard takes over again. He walks her down the hallway and then appears to body slam her not once, but twice.

"That's when I said, 'I'm about to call my mom!' And he said, 'No you're not.' And he picked me up again and he slammed. That's when all the kids went over there in the booth and said 'Don't do that to her!'" says Stephon.

Gloria Wilson says her daughter suffered bruises all over her back, causing her to become physically ill. The girl would spend five days in the hospital with damage to her pancreas. Mom complained, and then the school tried to suspend Stephon. She says the security guard even denied touching Stephon - until the video emerged a month later.

"I was very hurt, very hurt, because he lied to me and he lied to the DPS police and said he never touched her. They did not do an investigation," Wilson says. She says she is coming forward now because she feels the school is sweeping this under the rug.

A spokesperson from DPS says an investigation was presented to the Wayne Co. Prosecutor's Office, which decided not to file charges. We're told the prosecutor concluded the security guard used the proper amount of force.

Gloria claims the security guard continued to harass her daughter and she was forced to file a personal protection order against him. He left the school. But, the mother says he was just moved to another DPS facility, which makes her worry for the other children there.
