Can good cholesterol go bad?

A recent study by the Cleveland Clinic has some alarming news about the toll good cholesterol can take on your health.

There's two different types of cholesterol, HDL acts as a scavenger and clears your arteries while LDL creates plaque buildup. The study suggests that HDL turns bad once it's oxidized in the arteries and can become just as harmful as its counterpart.

In order to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, Dr. Georgiou suggests you incorporate the following foods into your diet:

Oatmeal/bran
Beans/grains
