Osmo Vanska returns to Minnesota Orchestra for shortened season
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
The Minnesota Orchestra on Friday announced a 39-concert schedule highlighted by a 3-week reunion with conductor Osmo Vanska. The classical season begins Feb. 20.
The release of the abbreviated schedule comes 10 days after the orchestra and its musicians reached a contract settlement to end a 15-month lockout.
Vanska resigned from the Minnesota Orchestra in October when the ongoing contract dispute led the cancellation of a concert series at Carnegie Hall in New York. Vanska led the Minnesota Orchestra for 10 years.
