Controversial Toronto Mayor Back In The Headlines

Posted: Updated:

Toronto mayor Rob Ford addresses the media after video surfaces of him drunkenly mocking police surveillance at a suburban eatery.

The controversial mayor made headlines in 2013 when he publicly admitted to smoking crack-cocaine.

Now, ford finds himself back in the spotlight for his substance abuse problems.

After swearing off alcohol last year, Ford admitted on Tuesday to drinking "a little bit" after a video was posted to the Internet of the mayor ranting in front of the counter of a Steak Queen.

The video has been uploaded by many users. One upload has more than 500,000 views.

In the video, Ford speaks in a Jamaican accent, and yells about surveillance that police carried out last year during a drug investigation.

Watch the two videos above, one is the mayor's rant and the other is his later public response to the video.

Ford is up for re-election in October.
