SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -

A Sandy Springs doctor has been arrested for practicing medicine without a license amid allegations of sexual assaults.

Kelly Burton Thrasher, 41, was arrested on January 17th and booked into the Fulton County Jail. Thrasher has since been released on $50,000 bond.

According to reports released by Sandy Springs police, Thrasher is accused in three cases:

"In November, 2012, Thrasher was charged with the sexual assault of an adult woman. He is alleged to have injected the woman with a substance rendering her unconscious, and then having sex with her.

In January, 2013, another complaint was filed against Thrasher, this time by the father of a juvenile female who said Thrasher molested her during a sleepover at the Thrasher residence in 2012.

In late 2013, Sandy Springs Police received several calls stating Thrasher had returned to his office and having contact with patients while under orders, per the suspension, not to do so. Sandy Springs detectives notified the Fulton County District Attorney's Office and the Georgia State Licensing Board of the allegations."

Thrasher's warrant was issued by an investigator of the State Medical Board.
