A new app called Fixed will help you fight your parking ticket.
Fixed currently only covers San Francisco, but there are plans to roll it out to the Top 100 U.S. cities, so you can expect it in Minneapolis-St. Paul soon.
HOW IT WORKS
If you find a parking ticket on your car that you think was unfairly issued, you take a photo of the ticket and enter the violation code. The app searches a database to give you a probability score on your chance of successfully fighting the ticket.
The app includes a list of common errors made by officers in writing a parking tickets and the evidence needed to contest each violation.
WHAT"S THE CATCH?
If you successfully fight your ticket, you pay Fixed a fee equal to 25 percent of the original citation. If you lose, there's no charge.
Co-founder David Hegarty, whose own parking ticket problems were the inspiration for the app, said early results have been promising.
