Air samples taken from rain-soaked Fulton County office

Posted: Updated:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Fulton County officials are awaiting the results of air samples taken throughout an office where they suspect mold has set in from wet conditions.

FOX 5 broke the story
about the unsanitary office space where 30 employees are assigned and also where the public must go to conduct business.

Employees in a purchasing department office say they are getting sick from water-related issues and possibly mold. After FOX 5's story aired, managers moved a number of employees from the office.

Air samples were taken on Wednesday night; the results are not yet known. Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman John Eaves said the workers were transferred as a precautionary measure.

Commissioners could vote as soon as Wednesday to approve funding to repair the building.
