Dome deflation derailed if wind speeds hit 15 MPH

Blustery winds are in the Twin Cities weather forecast for Saturday, and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority said Friday that any winds over 15 mph could cancel the Metrodome deflation.

Whether the dome deflation happens or not, the MSFA doesn't want you there.

"We are not encouraging people to come down," MSFA chairwoman Michele Kelm-Helgen said Friday. "There are safety issues with big crowds of people wandering around a construction site, trying to get views."

Cameras will be mounted both inside and outside the Metrodome, and while no scheduled time will be released, the footage will be available on and carried live at
