Posted: Updated:

Thomson Township police and the Carlton County Sheriff's Office arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a bomb threat that evacuated Esko schools on Tuesday.

Eddie Michael Edwards of Esko was arrested for felony terroristic threats and is currently in custody at the Carlton County Jail, charges pending.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, all K-12 students were evacuated to a nearby church following a written bomb threat that led law enforcement to close all buildings and conduct a sweep.

All students were safe and accounted for at St. Matthews Church.
