Kayla's Interests Involve Sports, Skating And A New Family To Love

Posted: Updated:

Kayla (2000) has many qualities that will draw your attention to her. She's enthusiastic, playful, sociable, imaginative and creative. Kayla has diverse interests -- such as reading, swimming, playing soccer, arts and crafts, riding a scooter and playing board games. And winter in sunny
Southern California brings with it the opportunity to try out another unique interest…ice-skating outside at LA Live – with or without sleeves, gloves and the usual outerwear usually associated with ice-skating!

And to add to Kayla's unique ice-skating experience, she received some expert tips from LA Kings announcer and former LA Kings player, Daryl Evans – as well as some assistance from Kings mascot, Bailey. Like many blooming teenagers, Kayla can be headstrong at times as she tries to find her individuality and do things on her own. Often, though, Kayla also displays a good sense of when to seek a helping hand (or in the case of mascot Bailey, a helping paw) to achieve a goal.

Kayla has a soft spot in her heart for younger children and for pets, and she would like to be in a family that includes (or is open to including) a younger child, a pet or both. While having a teen, a younger child and a pet would contribute to the diversity of a family, the key things that Kayla needs from a family is unconditional love, support, patience and praise.

Of all the world's religions, Buddhism is one of the most mysterious and most intriguing to many Americans. The books The Dharma Bums, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and even If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!, are all examples of how Buddhist concepts are part of the American cultural landscape.

For another glance of summertime fun, peer in as we spend some time at Pelican Pier in Long Beach with three pretty little girls! As they go around on the merry-go-round, you may start to think you’re seeing double … but you’re not. Chelsey and Airess (2010) are twins and came dressed alike in pink while younger sister Shayna (2012) came dressed for comfort in baby blue.

Ponytails and rides with wheels were just some of our favorite things about this week’s Wednesday’s Child when we met up with sisters Victoria and Toni for a day of food, fun and play at Chuck E Cheese’s. Take a look as we help these two kids just be kids, with the help of the resident mouse!
