Police Search For Deadly Road Rage Suspect

Posted: Updated:

The hunt continues for a driver who allegedly opened fire on another motorist during an apparent road rage incident that began in Maryland.

On January 4, Timothy Davison was driving in Maryland through Pennsylvania heading to Maine when the incident began.

Davison called 911 to report being followed and shot at by the car behind him. He was later shot to death

Police say there is no evidence Davison did anything to provoke his attacker and are revealing little about the shooter.

Given the distance traveled by the suspect in pursuit of Davison. Police are unsure whether or not to classify the incident as a case of road rage.

Davison's mother, Theresa Allocca, describes her emotions when she got the phone call any loving mom dreads.

"The last time I saw him, he was heading down to Marco Island and I told him I loved him," Theresa said. "He was just all about love."

She says Timothy just didn't want anything to do with guns, violence and that's one reason this is so horrific.

"I'm sure if he had the opportunity would be like hey, let's be cool. You know lets, whatever I did, I'm sorry; I didn't mean to get you upset," Theresa said.

Theresa says she's hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else in the Pennsylvania/Maryland area on interstate 81.

"That's why I'm here talking to you. Just for a plea for people to come forward and if they know anything," Theresa said.

Pennsylvania State Police say the assailant is believed to have been driving a dark-colored Ford Ranger XLT pickup truck and that the vehicle would likely have damage on its front driver's side.
