Investigators say a letter carrier was robbed outside the North Hill Farms apartment complex in Pontiac Wednesday morning. A masked man approached the letter carrier, pulled out a weapon and is said to have taken the letter carrier's wallet and mail bag.

The incident happened near one resident's unit on Lantern Lane, Diane Ford. Ford says she didn't see anything, but was stunned when police told her what happened.

"What [are] you [going to] get? A bunch of, what, bills? Junk mail? That's all you're [going to] get. So, why rob the mailman? Let him do his job," says Ford.

The letter carrier eventually made his way to a nearby store and called for help.
