Honey Boo Boo, family involved in car crash

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -

Honey Boo Boo and her family are recovering from a serious car crash.

According TMZ.com, the Georgia TV family was turning left at a green light when a truck slammed into them Monday night in Milledgeville, Ga.

Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana Thompson, was in the vehicle with her mother June "Mama June" Shannon and her sisters Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon.  Their Chevrolet Suburban was being driven by David Thompson, according to the police report.

The family was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
